Captain John’s nephew Erwin has over the past 15+ years learned and developed skills in all aspects of marine service and repair.  He has exceptional skills in the repair of plumbing and electrical systems, fiberglass repair, paint, and finish carpentry.  Erwin now runs his own team of workers under the business name of Erwin’s Yacht Service.

Erwin has agreements with the best subcontractors specializing in stainless steel and aluminum fabrication as well as canvas and upholstery.

Recently completed projects include the total refit of several large yachts including a 72-foot DeFever trawler, a 58-foot Hatteras, and numerous sailing vessels.

Erwin is a dealer for Victron Energy, Dometic, and Dakota Lithium products and has completed a number of solar and lithium battery system projects in the past year.

Many materials are local sourced and business relations with several freight forwarders provides quick receipt of materials which must be sourced from the United States.
